MMP TALKS is a non-profit social enterprise devoted to spreading self mastery teachings inspired by martial art & philosophy combined with self help to raise consciousness of the self, collective, and Mother Earth to make the world a better place to live in.

At the MMP TALKS inspired thought leaders, authorities, and masters in our community will share a compelling talk (up to 20 minutes) about their key life message inspired through the hidden secrets and power of the martial arts & philosophy, to educate, inspire and empower you to step into your truest power through The Art of Self Mastery.

The Speakers

At Martial Mind Power Talks, we search for masters from diverse disciplines who will educate, inspire and empower our audiences with self mastery teachings inspired by martial arts and philosophy, to help raise consciousness and make the world a better place to live in.

We welcome the use of action-based learning to demonstrate how motion can literally move the body, mind and spirit towards your self mastery. Our presenters are some of the most established individuals in the world, trusted voices, enlightened beings, infopreneurs, iconic role models, celebrities and geniuses.

It aims to provide a platform for thought leaders, visionaries, philosophers and mystics inspired through martial arts & philosophy and in the pursuit of self help to understand and face issues we encounter in society and in the world, so that we can change the way we think, act and do, to make the world a better place to live in for everyone. The DNA of Martial Mind Power, is that this can all be achieved through cultivating ones self mastery.

Dr Tamara Russell - Kung Fu Lives and Breathes in Everything
Neuroscientist, Clinical Psychologist, Martial Artist & Mindfulness Trainer

After qualifying as a doctor in neuroscience, psychology and clinical psychology, it wasn't until Tamara delved deep into the practice of Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi that she made her most profound discovery. Tamara discovered the secret to how life is your lesson, and the teacher... YOUR BODY!

In Tamara's MMP TALK, she is going to share five profound secrets how to live and breathe Kung Fu into everything you do in everyday life, to BECOME ALIVE & PRESENT!

Tamara is an active mindfulness trainer and therapist, and has written two mindfulness programs called The Art of Mindfulness and Body in Mind Training which she teaches to the general public, schools, corporations, health sector, and Brazilian Favelas. Tamara is also a Director of the Mindfulness Centre of Excellence, and visiting Lecturer at King's College London, lecturing on the clinical and neuroscientific aspects of mindfulness to students across a range of post graduate courses and conducting research projects.

Tamara's clinical and academic research explores the link between movement, mind, and the brain. At the heart of this work is the Kung Fu principle that our training (and our mindfulness) can and is in everything we do. As Mr Miyagi in Karate Kid once said:

'Everything is Kung Fu.'

​By working with the body and movement, we are tapping into the most fundamental of brain processes that underpin all our mental activity and subsequent actions in the world. Working with martial artists, contemporary dancers and those in the creative arts, Tamara's work explores how we can learn and share experiences of embodiment across disciplines to improve the pedagogy of mindfulness.
